1. Industrial Robots: Three New Series Launch in China, Further Lowering the Barrier to Automation
In July 2025, ABB launched the Lite+, the next-generation IRB 1200, and the PoWa robot series for the Chinese market at its Shanghai Robotics Superfactory. All are equipped with the OmniCore™ controller platform, enabling deep integration of AI, sensors, and edge computing.
• Lite+: Focuses on basic handling and picking, with a modular design enabling deployment in as little as 60 minutes for small and medium-sized enterprises.
• Next-generation IRB 1200: 20% lighter and 15% faster, meeting high-precision requirements in applications such as consumer electronics and automotive electronics.
• PoWa collaborative robot: An industry-first collaborative speed of 5.8 m/s, code-free programming, and 60-minute "out-of-the-box" operation directly reduce labor and programming costs.
Currently, over 90% of ABB's robots sold in China are locally produced, fulfilling its long-term commitment to "In China, for China and the world."

II. Energy Management: Two Acquisitions + New SaaS Solutions Take Digital Energy Saving Further
• In January 2025, ABB announced the acquisition of Dutch energy management company Sensorfact, strengthening its SaaS-level AI-powered energy analysis and energy-saving recommendations. This follows the completion of its acquisition of US-based Lumin on January 14.
• Sensorfact's plug-and-play sensor + AI platform serves over 1,900 industrial customers and is expected to help users reduce annual energy consumption by an additional 8–12% after integration into the ABB Ability™ Energy Management Suite.
• ABB also released a new edition of its "High-Efficiency Motors and Drives White Paper," which indicates that global motor system upgrades can reduce electricity consumption by 10%.

III. Smart Home: Dual-Brand Whole-Home Solutions Redefine Security and Convenience
On August 21, ABB's Electrical Smart Building division launched its "One System, Two Engines, Three Horsemen" whole-home smart strategy:
• CR200 Modern Miniature Circuit Breaker: Millisecond-level interruption and a century of technological advancements lay the foundation for whole-home electrical safety.
• A912 Smart Door Lock: Palm vein biometric recognition + active defense alarms provide a contactless entry experience.
• Xianying Series Lighting: Supports scene linkage and voice control, and is compatible with mainstream IoT ecosystems.
The entire solution has an open API for rapid integration with third-party HVAC and security systems.

IV. Low-Voltage Motors: Three New IE5 Energy Efficiency Products Expand, Offering a Payback Period of <12 Months

Marking the 30th anniversary of Project Jiaolong's presence in China, ABB released three new IE5 energy-efficient products:

• M2BAF: Starting at 0.18 kW, it caters to fan and pump OEMs, offering a 12-month payback period.

• M2QA-FB: A dedicated dust-proof explosion-proof motor, the preferred choice for dusty environment safety upgrades in the food industry.

• M2JAX: High power density and low vibration meet the heavy-duty, long-cycle operation requirements of ports, mines, and other applications.

Compared to the previous generation, the new IE5 series offers a 20°C lower temperature rise and a 30% longer lifespan. It has been awarded the CAIMRS 2025 China Automation New Quality Product Award.
