SDCS-PIN-51-COAT is a rugged, plug-in interface board engineered for the DCS800 series of industrial DC drives. The board combines two mission-critical functions in a single, compact module:
• Field excitation control – delivers the precise DC current required by the motor’s shunt field, enabling accurate speed and torque regulation.
• COAT (Current Offset & Temperature) measurement – provides high-resolution feedback to the drive’s control logic so field current, armature current and thermal drift are continuously monitored and compensated.
By integrating both tasks, the SDCS-PIN-51-COAT reduces wiring complexity, shrinks panel space and improves overall system reliability.
