The A5E00430140 is a field trigger board (FTB), commonly known as the "field trigger board," custom-designed by Siemens for the SIMOREG DC Master (6RA70) DC drive cabinet. Plugged directly below the CUD1 control board, it amplifies the 0-10 V trigger pulses from the CUD into the strong pulse current required by the thyristors (SCRs), enabling precise closed-loop regulation of the DC motor's excitation current. If this board fails, the entire system will report F005 (excitation circuit fault) or F036 (no excitation current), and is therefore considered the "ignition coil" of the DC drive system.
