The SEW BG1.5 8253846 is an "energy gatekeeper" about half the size of a palm. It reliably rectifies 100–500 V AC power into 240 V DC. Its continuous output of 1.5 A allows the SEW brake to release in milliseconds and lock securely in the event of a power outage, eliminating the need for inertia to stop the motor. Half-wave rectification and an integrated varistor suppress power spikes and reduce power consumption. Its -25°C to +70°C wide operating temperature range ensures rock-solid stability in cold storage, ports, and textile workshops.
